The short version
We collect what you give us so we can find jobs for you. We don't sell it, we don't share it with employers, and we don't use it to train AI models. You can ask us to delete all of it at any time.
What we collect
- What you type into the sign-up form: name, email, the kind of job you want, city, LinkedIn or portfolio link, what you're looking for, and your CV text.
- What you add when you set up your profile: your CV and portfolio (as a PDF or text), LinkedIn and portfolio links, and your job preferences. We keep the text we read from your files and the profile we build from it, not the files themselves. We read your portfolio website's front page if you give us one; we don't read LinkedIn.
- The jobs we match for you and what you do with them (save, dismiss, mark as applied).
- The page you came from when you signed up, so we know where people hear about us.
How we use it
Only to build your matching profile, score job postings against it, and email you the results. The legal basis is your consent, which you give when you sign up and can take back at any time.
Who else touches it
We use a few services to run JobPick. Each only processes your data to provide that service:
- Neon: database hosting (stores your profile, CV text and job matches)
- Vercel: website hosting
- Anthropic: the Claude AI model that reads your CV and scores jobs against it
- Resend: sending emails
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or 12 months after you stop using JobPick, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by replying to any email from us. We'll do it within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
